Our hearts and prayers go out to Katie's Family, who stood by her everyday while she was in the Hospital.  Her Mom, Tricia (who coached for OGC) was so strong everyday,
her Father, Brad (a hard working and devoted Dad), and her younger siblings Nathan (8), Marylynn (5) and JJ (4).  Your OGC Family
is here for you and ready to do anything to help in this time of sorrow.  We love you all and pray for you everyday.

Katie left her OGC Family in June 2007, when her dad was re-stationed to Connecticut.  February 21, 2008, Katie and her mom Tricia (who used to coach at OGC) came home to Silverdale to visit Friends and their OGC Family.  While here, Katie got very sick, by Monday, Feb 25th Katie was taken to Children's Hospital in Seattle and put into the ICU.  Katie had the flu and the MRSA Pneumonia, that was attacking her lungs.
Katie battled for almost a month, before her failing lungs just could not hang on anymore and she passed away Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, shortly after
surgery to try and relive pressure on her lungs.

KATIE HAGGARD - The Fun Loving, Energetic, 13 year old, who's life was cut short when she lost her battle with the MRSA Pneumonia on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008.  Katie with her Silver Smile, was a joy in the gym and you could always see her smile from anywhere in the gym.  Her determination, hard work and love for the sport made her a Great Gymnast.  Katie was a part of the OGC Family since she was 8 years old and proved to have great talent.  She progressed up through the Levels quickly, Earned 2 Vault State Championships in 2004 (level 5) and 2005 (level 7), and was a Level 8 gymnast by 2006 and did very well earning a trip to Level 8 Regionals Championships in 2007.
